If you suffer from Rosacea, it’s possible to treat yourself at home with alternative natural remedies that you may already have in your kitchen cabinets. The idea that such a treatment could be under your nose might seem a little strange, but there are many who are receiving relief from their rosacea condition through natural means.

Rosacea is a skin condition with no known cure. Some have claimed to cure their rosacea, but it’s more likely that they’ve been able to control it to a point where it becomes undetectable over time. For the majority, however, rosacea is a skin disorder that is not only incurable, but even symptom treatment seems to be beyond reach. Here are some natural home remedies that some have found to reduce the flareups.

Apple cider vinegar ingested is a common home remedy for rosacea. It stimulates the release of digestive enzymes and can help foster bacterial harmony in the intestines. Apple cider vinegar can be taken in liquid form or by tablet. It’s likely you already have it around your house in liquid form, though.

Another treatment used for rosacea is licorice herb. A study in 1996 followed sixty-two patients who had mild to moderate facial rosacea. There was significant decrease in redness at week four and even more at week eight. You may not have licorice in your kitchen, but it’s easy to find in your grocery store.

Another small study which was made known at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Dermatology found that green tea cream could help people control their rosacea symptoms. Women using the green tea cream had a dramatic decrease in the number of red bumps and pustules. Independent studies are needed, but the results were reported to be quite promising.

There are other more traditional natural home remedies for facial rosacea. These include: Aloe, Burdock, Chamomile, Olive Oil, Red clover, Rose hips, Selenium, B vitamin, and Zinc. Some lotions sold online include all or most of these elements, but not all work for everyone. Each person has a different body chemistry and a different severity level of rosacea.

There are many more treatment options today than ever. Do not resign yourself to living in misery anymore. The possibility that your symptoms can be controlled is not a mere dream or beyond your means. Always consult your physician before starting any treatment.

What’s the best treatment for rosacea?

I seldom have breaking out with my rosacea, but I have a lot of small broken blood vessels on my cheeks. Does anyone know a safe remedy? Is it safe to have a facial…even a deep cleansing facial? Are there products I should avoid using on my face?

I have rosacea, and have had facials, but have made darned sure that the aesthetician doing them knows I have rosacea, and knows how to treat it. Harsh cleansers, masks, scrubs, etc., are out, they will irritate your skin WAYY too much. I don’t even have my blackheads removed anymore, the steam is too irritating for my face. Many salons/day spas even have a facial that’s specifically designed to treat rosacea. Until you know what will and won’t work, I’d check with my dermatologist before getting anything done, because it’s so easy to make it worse without intending to.

I’ve found a great product that has really worked for me. It’s called Calm, Cool and Corrected by DermaDoctor. (And no, I don’t work for them). My face looks better since I started using this than it has in probably 15 years. Here’s a link.

I get mine at Nordstroms, but I’ve heard that Sephora also carries it. I think you can also order it directly from the website.

Behind the glossy images in magazines, and on television, there lies dangerous anti-aging secrets.

Most skin care products, even the “natural” ones, contain many harsh chemicals used in industrial processes.

These chemicals are known to cause a wide range of adverse health effects, ranging from skin irritation to cancer.
But the skin care companies don’t want you to know this.

If you knew the truth, you’d have second thoughts about buying many of the most popular skin care products on the market……even the expensive brands.

You can stop aging by educating yourself on effective anti-aging skin care and use anti-aging products that will work for you and your skin.
