Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria Hives also known as urticaria is an allergic reaction which normally takes place when a sufferer comes into contact with a triggering allergen.
Many of these affecting allergens may be difficult if not impossible to pinpoint due to the many underlying factors which might cause hypersensitivity, thus triggering Urticaria.
Symptoms of the condition range in size from a few millimetres to several inches in diameter. Urticaria hives can be round, or they can form rings or large patches which grow and swell into each other, in many cases the swelling may grow and grow especially to the head area, this is a secondary more serious condition called Angioedema.
Hives can occur on most parts of the body and in many cases the whole body, however the symptoms of urticaria rarely affect the palms of the hand or the soles of the feet.
Hives are classified as acute or chronic depending on the length of the episode, most chronic cases are also considered as idiopathic as the reasons are more often than not hard to determine.
The treatment of Urticaria hives depends on the rigour of the symptoms with the most commonly used treatments being Non-sedating antihistamines, including Allegra, Claritin, Clarinex, and Zyrtec, however after much research it’s clear that drugs might not be the best course of action in dealing with urticaria.

What kind of food is really good for your skin?
I have pretty bad skin. Its not acne, more like little bumps, that look a bit like measles, blackheads, whiteheads and impurities. Its not horrible, just irritating! Its around my cheeks, T-zone, and hairline. I have already tried a couple of natural and calm products, as I have sensitive/oily skin.
I think antioxidants, such as berries might work, but i don’t really know.
i’m a teen.
You might try taking one egg yolk, beat it, then apply to skin like a mask, allow to dry and leave on for 20 minutes, then wash off. Do this twice a day (2 egg yolks a day) and see how this works for your skin. It will take at least 30 days before you notice a difference. Egg yolks are full of natural Vitamin A , minerals, protien, and vitamins and is extremely healthy for your skin. It will cleanse, nourish, and tone your skin.
You should cut out all junk food and try to eat a really balanced diet. Our skin is our largest organ and needs to be taken care of just like any other organ. When our diets are out of balance (or we have allergies or sensitivities) this is often reflected in our skin health. When we have a lot of toxins our body processes them through our kidneys, digestive system, and skin. A lot of times when we have skin eruptions it is because of these toxins.
I would cut out all soda pop, most sugar, and try to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, but do not forget to eat high quality meats, too, as your body needs a good protien source for proper nutrition. By quality, this means to cut out as much processed meats as possible (lunchmeats, pepperoni, bacon, sausage, unless made fresh, and canned meats like what is found in the dry goods aisle). I would cut out canned tuna as it is full of mercury and should be eaten in moderation.
Ingesting Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) from the health food store is good for skin health, too. VCO taken at 1 tablespoon a day can be beneficial. You can google info on this product.
I would also avoid as many soy products as possible as soy has a lot of known problems, including sensitivities and allergic reactions. Unfermented soy products are also full of phyto-estrogens (plant-based estrogens), is anti-nutritional, a known goitrigen (causes goiter), causes thyroid problems, is carcinogenic (cancer-causing) and a host of other problems. Go to “The Whole Soy Story” (Dr. Kaayla Daniel) on line to find the problems with soy.
Avoid a lot of alcohol, cigarettes, and any recreational drugs as these are all pollutants that can cause skin damage. Alcohol in moderation (like 2-4 ounces of wine) per day is not harmful, but if it is not necessary in life, why not exclude these items for a four month period and see what happens with your skin. It never hurts to clean our entire systems.
If you are female, stop wearing any foundations or other products that are full of pore-clogging oils or chemicals that can harm the skin. Wash with a mild soap (do not scrub), and avoid heavily perfumed bars that can be irritating to the skin. A really good soap is Yardley’s Lavender, but you may want to avoid anything that is aromatic. Look for soap that says “soap” on the box; if it says “bars” it is made with petroleum products (industrial oil), if it says “soap” on box, then it is made with animal and/or vegetable oils. Always go for the soap as it is a much better choice for your skin. If you have access to homemade soap this is usually an even better choice. Healthfood stores carry these, as do many craft stores. You can learn to make your own (I make my own), or you can buy premade soap bases in a large block from a craft store and either just cut it up and use as is, or melt and pour into pretty shapes. Again, forgo the scents.
Your body replenishes its blood supply once every four months and is wonderfully made to rejuvenate itself. It may be a month or two before you start to see results, and could take as long as three months, but if you do all of this there should be changes in your skin health.
I wish you much luck!
Behind the glossy images in magazines, and on television, there lies dangerous anti-aging secrets.
Most skin care products, even the “natural” ones, contain many harsh chemicals used in industrial processes.
These chemicals are known to cause a wide range of adverse health effects, ranging from skin irritation to cancer.
But the skin care companies don’t want you to know this.
If you knew the truth, you’d have second thoughts about buying many of the most popular skin care products on the market……even the expensive brands.
You can stop aging by educating yourself on effective anti-aging skin care and use anti-aging products that will work for you and your skin.
